About Shelly

Welcome to my website! I am an indie folk singer-songwriter from New England and currently based in Pittsburgh, PA.  I take inspiration from my favorite contemporary Americana and roots artists like Susan Tedeschi, Sarah Jarosz, and Madison Cunningham as well as indie pop/rock artists like BASTILLE, Maggie Rogers, and Julien Baker.  Leonard Cohen and Joni Mitchell are also some important influences. Like many musicians, I strive for honesty in my lyrics. My songs also seek to tell stories to feelings and ask existential questions because life is confusing. Even so, we can still enjoy the beauty we find despite having no clear answers.
